Born and raised right here in the Chicagoland area, John Gurney is a rising country artist that began to develop both as a singer and as a songwriter after moving to Nashville.
This past October, I was able to meet with John Gurney to talk about his remarkable career thus far. He has released numerous singles, including “Fairytale Dress”, the winner of the 2018 NSAI Song Contest presented by CMT. That same year, he was cast on the first season of the E-Network series “Very Cavalleri”, where his music has also been featured. During the interview, we talked about one of his latest singles, “Remind You”, released on June 19th, 2020.
We also discussed various topics, including why he became an artist, which artists he would collaborate with, and his typical songwriting process. We even got to hear about one of his favorite performances!
We also got a hint at what’s to come from John Gurney, including the announcement of the new single “Chicago”. This track was released on October 16th, 2020 and can be found on platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, and iHeartRadio.
