Sub-Genre Submersion

Sub-Genre Submersion is a weekly show on Wednesdays from 7-8, where each week’s show takes a deep dive into a specific, niche, and/or esoteric sub-genre of music! If you want an hour long mix of your favorite ultra-specific genre of music, or you want to have a couple introductions to some new weird types of music you haven’t heard before, tune in! Over this quarter the show will cover genres like emo-revivalism, cloud rap, first wave post-punk revival, sound collage, and many more. The show is run solely by me, Ryan Roberts, and simply created through my general knowledge on the genres and their history, and some of my favorite songs/bands from each that I’ve compiled into some Spotify playlists. I’ll give a little intro to the sub-genre at the beginning of each show, and maybe provide some extra information on my favorite artists, albums, or sounds throughout. Come hang out, listen to some good (at least, decent) music, and maybe get some work done 🙂
