Punk music has been a rock staple since the 70s and has had those decades to branch out and find new and exciting sub-genres within. Folk music also has a long history of sub-genres and expansion. Combining these genres created a unique sound mashing folk/americana aesthetics with punk sounds and sentiments.

Growing up in Cali around the LA punk scene, I've always loved old school punk bands like The Ramones and Velvet Underground. However, as I've mellowed out over the years, I've fallen in love with all genres of music, especially Folk Punk.
